Cancellation Policy

📅 Booking & Deposits: To secure your moving date and time, we require a $140 deposit at the time of booking. This deposit reserves your time slot and is credited toward your final bill. Deposits are non-refundable if the move is canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice. This helps us manage scheduling and compensate our team for lost labor time. 💰 Rates & Minimum Charges: We charge $50 per hour, per mover, with a 2-hour minimum per move. After the 2-hour minimum, time is billed in 15-minute increments. This gives our clients fair pricing based on actual time worked. Travel time to and from your location may also apply depending on your location and specific needs. 💳 Payment Terms: Final payment is due immediately upon completion of your move. We accept cash, major credit/debit cards, and approved digital payment methods (e.g., Zelle, Cash App, or Venmo). Failure to pay upon completion may result in late fees or additional charges. Please let us know in advance if you need to split payment or use multiple methods. 📦 Cancellations & Rescheduling: You may cancel or reschedule your move without penalty if done at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled move will result in forfeiture of your $140 deposit. If you need to make changes, please contact us as soon as possible to avoid fees and allow us to adjust our schedule accordingly. 🛡 Insurance & Liability Coverage: Major Moves is fully licensed and insured. We provide basic cargo protection, which includes limited valuation coverage of $0.60 per pound, per item, in accordance with industry standards. This basic coverage is included in your move at no extra charge. If you desire full value protection, which covers the current market value or full replacement cost of your items, we recommend purchasing third-party moving insurance before your move. This is especially important for high-value or fragile items such as antiques, electronics, or artwork. Please note: We are not liable for items damaged inside boxes packed by the customer unless damage clearly results from our handling. Let us know in advance about fragile or special-care items so we can take proper precautions. ⛈ Weather, Traffic & Delays: Extreme weather, road closures, or traffic—may cause unexpected delays. In such cases, we will communicate with you promptly and work to adjust your schedule as needed. Your safety and the safety of our team is always our priority.
